DOMAINE D’EXPERTISE :
I have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology and bioinformatics.
My PhD research was focused on understanding host-microbe interactions through omics approaches using crustaceans as model animals (host RNAseq and 16S microbiome).
My MSc research was focused on the functional, phylogenetic and transcriptional characterization of a new family of antimicrobial peptides. I had the opportunity to work in molecular immunology studies using techniques like RNAseq, RNAi, cloning, heterologous expression and protein purification.
I am a postdoc at Labiomaris-UFSC (Brazil) currently doing a split-project at IHPE (France, Montpellier) with the CAPES-Cofecub international project.
I’m currently studying how Antibiotic-resistance genes found in Thau Lagoon can affect the ability of bacteria to colonize oysters and its effect on the microbiome from oysters and the aquatic environment.

CURSUS :
PhD in Agricultural Sciences (Dalhousie University – Canada)
MSc in Biotechnology and Biosciences (UFSC – Brazil)
BSc in Biological Sciences (UFSC – Brazil)
